The RS earns its place. It is comfortable, economical, well-specified and completely unstressful in Kuala Lumpur traffic, which makes it the right answer for a long hire where the car is transport rather than an event. Plenty of our monthly renters run one alongside something more interesting for weekends.
The Type R is a different proposition entirely — a track-capable car with a six-speed manual and a limited-slip differential, hired almost exclusively by people who know precisely what they are booking. It is not the car to give an unfamiliar driver on a wet Kuala Lumpur evening.
